Is Arro a bank?

Arro is a trading name of Marq Millions Ltd, a company authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011.

Is my money safe with Arro?

Yes, it is. In accordance with the Electronic Money Regulations (EMRs), we ensure that all customer funds are safeguarded in a regulated bank account, and separated from any company money. This means that in the event of the Issuer becoming insolvent, the e-money is protected from other creditors’ claims and can be repaid to our customers.

Opening an Arro personal account

Who can open a personal account?

Anyone can apply. Simply fill in your name, address and date of birth on one straightforward application form and you’ll get immediate access to an account number and sort code. In some cases one valid form of ID may be required.

Will you check my credit report if I want to open a personal account?

Can I get a personal account if I live outside the UK?

No, Arro accounts are not available outside of the UK. But, if you are planning to move to the UK, and need to get set up with an account quickly, our application process is fast, simple and only requires a valid form of ID, like a passport or driving licence.

Can I use my card abroad?

Yes, you can access your account 24 hours a day 7 days a week from anywhere in the world. But additional foreign exchange charges of 2.99% do apply.

Can I get an account if I am a migrant?

Do I need a high street bank account as a reference?

Using your Arro account

Will I be given a sort code and an account number with my Arro account?

Yes, any Arro account comes with a sort code and account number. As soon as you are finished creating your account you will be able to access your own personal dashboard where you will find these details.

Will I be given a card when I open my Arro account?

Yes, once your account has been created we will pop your Arro Contactless Mastercard® in the post and it should be with you in a matter of days. But you don’t need to wait around for it arrive before using your account. Make payments with your virtual card straight away.

How can I activate my Arro card?

You can start using your account straight away using a Virtual Card, once you have filled out the application form. Your contactless Mastercard® will be on its way to you and, once it arrives, you can activate it by going to arromoney.com/activate or calling 08447744995.

Where can I use my Arro card?

You can use your Arro card to shop in store, online and withdraw cash from 1000s of cash machines anywhere in the world.

Do I need to wait for my card to arrive to start using my account?

No, you don’t. At Arro we are all about making things easy and quick for you. After opening your account you will be given a sort code and account number (Virtual card) so you can start receiving payments and set up direct debits and standing orders.

Can I set up a direct debit or standing order with my Arro account?

Yes, you can. Any Arro account supports both direct debits and standing orders.

Does my Arro account have an overdraft?

Our accounts do not have an overdraft facility . At Arro, we want to help you take control of your money and to spend only the money that you have and not more. That’s why we don’t need to do any credit checks, making the whole application process as straightforward as possible.

How can I change/update my account information?

Just login to your account area on the website and you can amend and update your account information.

Can I hold different currencies on my Arro account?

Your Arro account can only hold Pounds Sterling.
